2025 Shootout

The 2025 Carp Shootout has come to an end. In Year 3 we have a new champion as the Vars Aces defeated the 2 time champion Micksburg Twins. Vars were full value for the win as they played well all weekend and also defeated Micksburg during round robin play. The final game was won by a score of 10-6 and played on a hot day. It was a hot weekend kudos to all the teams for the level pf play displayed all weekend in the hot temperatures. Andy Barber from the Vars Aces was the tourney MVP having a great weekend on the mound for the Aces. He also contributed with the bat as well all weekend. A great all round tourney for Andy! Congrats to him and the Aces. A good effort from the Twins all weekend falling just short of a 3 peat.  We want to thank all the fans that braved the heat. We had great attendance as is the norm in Carp and you kept our food  and bar area hopping all weekend. We thank the teams for coming. You guys put on some great games for us to watch and can't have this event without you. Thanks Nova Scotia for coming from so far each year to play in our event. Lastly a huge thanks to our volunteer helpers!! These folks run the gates, sell 50/50, announce, score keep, do the diamond maintenance run the food stand and our beer garden. Without you folks the committee would not have the horsepower to run this event. Thank you!
